Winners on three. One, two, three. Winners. We're at fire station 304 out off 163rd in Grand. We're here at Camp Ignite. It's our second annual high school girls camp and it's a week-long camp that we use firefighting as the platform to help empower high school age girls and help them realize that they can do hard things. It's important to be a female firefighter because one, firefighter is a male dominating job and it just shows that we can do it too. I think females being into this profession is something that shows younger girls um it's so important to show them that you can do it because I think um the world world kind of tells us that you know we're not strong enough. It's a male-dominated field that's really hard females to get into. What made me want to come into camp was getting to know firemen and being able to work with them. I saw that there was great opportunities to engage with like real life firefighter skills. So, I wanted the opportunity to engage with that. We get to put on full turnout gear. We're working out. We're doing exercises that are like strictly for firefighting. We're crawling through tubes. We're breaking down doors. And it was able like it showed me that this is something I want to do and I do want a career in this. I really hope at the end of this week these girls have something has clicked in there, has sparked in there that they they realize that they are stronger and more capable than they ever thought possible and that they realize that they can do hard things and that as soon as something is hard, they don't shy away from that challenge. They step up. They own it and they dominate it. That's what we want from this week is that confidence to be able to tackle anything that they might face. 300 seconds. You got it. You got it. Um, this is the tube crawl through. So, we have two hoses in there of two different sizes. We have a 2 and 1/2 and an inch and 3/4. So, there's both of the ends are in there. They have to go in. It's all blacked out. We have it covered on both ends so they can't see anything. They got to crawl in there, connect the two sides together without being able to see, and then they got to find their way out. So, it's a very difficult challenge. One, because they can't see anything. Two, because it's very hot and they're in their turnout gear. And just being able to fight that mental challenge of being hot, not being able to see anything, and being able to complete the task is very rewarding for them. Good job, Natalie. You did it. See, you didn't think you could do it, and you did. Nice. Good work. It It is scary for some of them, especially if they're claustrophobic. Yeah, they're very supportive of each other. this they're working as an engine company throughout the whole camp. So to being able to cheer each other on and help each other whenever they're in the time of need, um it's really encouraging for themselves. Good job. Good job. So right now it's we're getting into all sorts of things. But like I said, we use firefighting as the platform to really teach these girls about teamwork, communication, confidence, putting yourself in an uncomfortable situation and being okay with that and trying to figure out how to build yourself to get to that end result. You know, trying to struggle a little bit and grow through that. So, we're going to use things like how to package a firefighter, how to manage a hose stream, how to be blacked out, you know, in blacked out conditions and be on a hose line and have to find someone and rescue them and pull them out of a room and learn about some ways to take a plug some of that physical stuff as well because sometimes it's about digging deep and just embracing, as we say, embracing the suck, you know. Track buckle. Yeah, let's go. All right. All right. Okay. All right. Okay. All right. Okay. Return to the back. Get up. What it is? What it is. What it is. What it isn't. Looking for a better way to get up out of bed instead of getting on the internet and checking a new hit me. Get up. First shot come strap walking. Little bit of humble. A little bit of cautious. Somewhere between like Rocky and Cosby game. Nope. Nope. Y'all can't copy up bad moonwalking. This year is a party. My posies been on Broadway and we did it all way music. I shed my skin and put my bones into everything I record to it. And yeah, I'm on. Let that stage light go and shine on down. Got that Bob Barker suit game and plink with my style money. Stay on my craft and stick around for those pounds. But I do that to pass the torch and put on for my town. Trust me on my I N D E P E N D E N T [ __ ] hustling chasing dreams since I was 14 with a four track busting halfway across that city with the back can't question labels out here now they can't tell me nothing we give out to the people spread it across the country labels out here now they can't tell me nothing we give it to the people spread it across the country we go back this is the moment tonight is the Tonight we'll fight till it's over. So we put our hands up like the ceiling can't hold us. Like the ceiling can't hold us. And we go back. This is the moment. Tonight is the night. We'll fight till it's over. So we put our hands up like the ceiling can't hold us. Like the ceiling can't hold us. If we have the mindset that I will do all the hard work, I will work so hard to make everything else easy for everybody else. We take on that little bit more of that work, a little more of that burden. I'm going to work so hard that everybody else's job is easy. Isn't that going to be amazing though? Everybody has that mindset. How easy is the task going to be as a whole? When I say, "Hey, how'd it go?" Be like, "It was easy." And know that I was that foundation, right? I was the one that helped make that work. Cuz we're all part of something bigger than ourselves, right? The end goal is what? To put out that fire to mitigate that emergency. And so, we're all working together. But if we have that mindset that I'm going to work hard so that nobody else, I'm going to carry that burden. I'm gonna work hard so that it's easier for everybody else on my team or my crew. Then we're going to be successful and that task is going to be super easy no matter how hard that task is. Uh, I think Camp Ignite has made me a better person cuz it's just made me so much more outgoing and willing to put myself out there. My biggest thing I've learned about myself this week is I have a lot of endurance like mentally. Um, I feel like my biggest takeaway from this camp was mostly just that like I can do things that I doubt myself and that I don't think that I can do because a lot of times I don't think I can do things and really I can in real life. So just knowing that I can do things that I don't think I can. You see yourself in many different ways from this cuz you're pushing yourself harder and then you're at your breaking point and then you realize like with more and more things and then stuff just clicks and I feel like you're moving like your personality is like growing from that and how you see things. So, I think it'll be really good to get back into school with a different point of view. It's a lot of physical stuff that you have to go through, but I just keep going and keep pushing. It might take me a little bit longer, but I can get it done at the end of the day. I'm proud of myself. I think this camp is only the start. This is only the the tip of the iceberg. You guys are going to face harder challenges over the next school year, the next chapter in your life, whether it's college or work. And I just want you guys to look back on this and realize how bad to the bone you guys are. You have faced some incredible challenges, some tremendous obstacles, and as a team, you dug deep within yourself. You guys look for it, and you persevered. I don't want you guys to ever forget how strong and how incredibly capable you guys are at doing anything that you set your mind to. Heat. Heat.
